Estonian club  «Viimsi veeklubi» was successful either in short and long distance swims and even in 450m "endurance swim. Lada Vrublevska of Jelgava who is the former world champion won golden medal in the group of 45-49 year olds in 25m breast stroke. Winners from "Jelgava seals" are:

Puzanova Natalija 1966 (E category) 28,15s - 1st place
Petrova Raisa 1954 (G category) 26,19s - 1st place
Lismanis Toms 1997 (A category) 17,09s - 1st place

37 years old world champion Bruno Nopponen, who won both short distance swims, was happy for the great event organized by club «Jelgava seals». That's his second year in Jelgava tournament. He likes long distance swims. In 19 hours he has crossed Finnish baybetweet Tallinn and Helsinki.

Director of «Jelgava seals» club Aleksandr Jakovlev admitted, that this tournament was the last preparation before the Winter Swimming World Championship 2012 which will commence this January in Jurmala. Tournament organizer are happy for the tremendous increase of participants this year.

Water temperature in river Lielupe was 5 degrees and air temperature 4-7 degrees Celsius.
